Brand names keep changing.
They fade away and never come back.
I wonder what makes a brand name stick around for a while.

I really dont have a favorite brand,  I pretty much buy anything,  if it looks good, taste good,  feels good,  fits good,  I'm not picky.  LOL

Brand names are just a strategy for businesses to optimize their profits. Some other brands may perform even better than some well known brand names.

What makes them stick around is quality and product. If the product is good it will be around a long time. If not, it will fade away. Also there is supply in demand.

Quality, long-term products that are still on the market and stands above their competitors because consumers recognize, want the best available.

I guess it all depends on how much of the item is sold in the store. Price of somwthing is also a factor. Some campanies can afford to keep things around forever and others can't, so they fade away.

I really think it depends on the brand name. The ones that have been around forever we just don't think about. Like I'm pretty sure Harley Davidson, Levis, Ford, etc. have been around for ages. Now if we're talking about stuff that changes rapidly like technology, I agree. Someone is always upsetting and replacing the old empire it seems like. As for how to make a brand name stick around, I wish I knew that. Then I could be a millionaire too.  ;D

I honestly don't pay attention to brand names personally.  I think the store brand is just as good in nearly all cases.
