Any of the tart crisp apples. I like jona golds and pink lady. I always forget the names of the ones I like until I go apple picking again. Hope I can make it this year

Granny smith when i'm able to find them right. sometimes they are too bitter. When i'm lucky enough to find them the way I like them tart with just enough sweetness delish!

I love red delicious apples they are the best. So sweet and crunchy, just the thought makes my mouth water yummy, yummy and good for you. Like the Koreans say, "Eat a lot" and I say enjoy.

I like Winter Bananas.  Yes they are an apple.  Winter Banana apples are an heirloom variety - interesting flavors with an old-fashioned sort of beauty. They are pale yellow with faint pink blush. The flavor is a nice combination of sweet and tart, with a definite banana aroma and very dense & crisp texture. :)

I'm going to break down my replay by the family: Me I am a Granny smith girl all the way. My husband and two girls love them too but my husband will eat others as well. As for my two girls it is only the granny's or the deep red delicious. 8)

I like Pink Lady and Fuji for eating these days.  For baking, Granny Smith.  For applesauce, Macintosh.  I've been experimenting with Jonagold hybrid for baking and it's pretty good.  My ultimate favorite apples for combined eating/baking used to be Jonamacs (Johnathan and Macintosh hybrid) - but I haven't been able to find those for years.

If I buy them from the grocery store, Gala or Fugi. If I go to the orcard. Red Delicous. I love to make applesauce in the fall.

Apple crisp is my favorite dessert.
