I went grocery shopping with my then 1 year old daughter and after i loaded up the car with groceries and tried to back out of the parking space, my car wouldn't move. apparently the shift cable broke and i was stuck in park. I had to call my boyfriend at work and he came and rigged  it to where i can get home.

yes we went to Utah and the transmission went out while we were there that cost over 3700 dollars and overs  200 of that was sale tax that is why I don't like sales tax.

Oh yeah if you own a car there are only 2 kinds of people.  Those who have had trouble and those that are going too.  My first expierence with car trouble of my own making was driving to school and leaveing the lights on.  Funny how battery would not last all day long.

I lost an alternator/serpentine belt in my KIA the other night, driving back from the local gas station. Luckily I only had to go less than 1/2 a mile-- in the middle of the night, in the country, in the dark. Just made it before my headlights died. I have my truck to drive until I pick up the new belt-- then I have to change it. YUCK. But I can't complain, my kia has over 130,000 on it, and the belt was due to be changed-- as a matter of fact, it's scheduled for timing belt change, lube and inspection next week LOL. I love both my vehicles-- I almost never have problems. This is the first thing that has actually BROKE-- everything else has been routine maintenance.

I have never had a flat tire but I have had my share of car trouble.  Once my car's transmission coolent lines blew up and there I sat on the side of the interstate.

I have never experienced any serious problems with my car since I follow the scheduled maintenance according to the mileage on my odometer. The only minor problem I have encountered once was a flat tire.
