I have never used tampons before because I have always been using pads, and a tampon looks uncomfortable being up there and do not look safe being in for an amount of time, so I choose pads over tampons any day.

Tampons with a pantyliner for backup. I do not like pads- sitting in my own blood and tissue makes me feel gross and is pretty uncomfortable. Plus, if you need a jumbo pad for heavy flow, it feels like you're walking around in a crinkly, bulky diaper. I don't want to be reminded I'm on my period! With tampons, I don't even feel like I'm on it.

I use reusable sponge tampons from Jade and Pearl. I love them, soft and comfortable and I'm not wasting money each month nor adding to the waste in the environment. A pair of sponges will cost me about $20 or less and last for 2-3 years.

Alrighty, honesty time..., when I was 17 I was using pads until then, tampons seemed gross. But I got a yeast infection and the OB told me about it and informed me how to use tampons, once I used the m I never looked back. Some people find it strange to put something in that part of their body, but I'm a little prudey or whatever and find it uncomfortable at first, but now its second nature. Tampons are perfect for swimming, exercise, tight pants, thongs, basically everything, even heavy flows. But pads, they are awkarwd and bulky and basically suck.

Tampons.  Playtex brand or U by Kotex.  I don't know what the difference is, but Tampax has never been a great brand for me

a tampon looks uncomfortable being up there and do not look safe being in for an amount of time, so I choose pads over tampons any day.

You can't feel a tampon at any point (putting it in, leaving it there, taking it out). It says so on the box, and the box doesn't lie. They wouldn't be on the market if they weren't safe. Just don't leave one in for a week, and you'll be fine.

You should really consider looking into things before you completely disregard them.

I use tampons the ultra for the heavy days and regular with a pantyliner, for the latter days just in case.
