question about quote from the fusion cash faq.
« on: April 11, 2009, 04:03:33 pm »
"#  How does Direct Deposit work?
If you wish to receive payment via Direct Deposit, you must furnish your account and routing numbers, as well as consent to deposit/withdraw.
Once you receive the "Cashout Approved" email, allow up to 7 business days for a credit labeled "FUSIONCASH/DISBURSEMENTS" to post to your account."

This is directly off the FAQ page from fusion cash. I am just concerned about the part where it says "consent to deposit/withdraw.". Being new to this site I was somewhat apprehensive about giving them my bank account info when they state that they need consent to withdraw as well. I guess what I'm asking is do they actually have the right to withdraw from your account and if so why?

Yes because you gave them permission.

There is an alternate payment: PayPal.

I guess I didn't make myself clear. I have not applied for direct deposit. I'm just curious as to why they would need to be able to withdraw from my account and if there is a way to prevent that but still get direct deposit. Frankly I find the idea that they can't make direct deposit an option without being able to withdraw a bit shady.

Well, for years we kept the deposit agreement as requiring both consent to deposit, and consent to withdrawal for the purpose of correcting erroneous deposits.  But in the three years we've had direct deposit we've never had an occasion to withdraw from a user's account, so recently we dropped the 'withdrawal' part of the agreement and made it strictly a 'deposit' agreement.

You can see that on the direct deposit agreement: http://www.fusioncash.net/directdeposit.php

The FAQ article you read is actually out of date, and I have corrected it.  Thanks for pointing that out.
