I'm indifferent on the subject.  People hate Romney and Obama.  Thing that I don't get is they're both government officials.  Why would you want life long government official in office.  They're just going to make the government bigger.  One wants to regulate things you can't do.  The other wants to regulate things you can do.  That just means more taxes, government control, and less freedom either way.  To me it seems messed up people don't realize this.

I'm very interested in this election, as always.  I have very strong feelings about it.  Remember we can't complain about the circumstances if we don't vote.

I don't pay attention to the debate, political bantering and character bashing that comes before the election.
I know we need change from the last 4 years.
We Americans always want low taxes or no taxes, yet we need to pay off our nation's debt.
If every American paid a little more in taxes, [and I mean a little] we could decrease OUR debt.
We inherited something we don't like, yet are responsible for it NOW. We got "stuck" with it.

I just wish we would get out of the wars we are in.
The Coast Guard saves people in dangerous waters.
Our militarty could be involved in peaceful activities, using muscle for innovative ideas to improve thigns for the future.
There are plenty of situations to improve: environmental waters, self sustaining housing, air purification, major recycling......wildlife preservation. and more.
One topic led to another here.

I just widh the ones running would actually do what they promise.  That never seems to happen, no matter  "D" or "R".  They all sound the same till they get in office!

I agree if the president would work with the Congress and the Congress with the president we might get something done for the good of the people and not just big business.

I believe this is probably the most important election of my life.  I'm about 10 years from retirement and am really worried that the money I put into the system isn't going to be there.  And what about Medicare ?  I have a feeling my generation is going to be the first generation that will be cheated out of  the benefits that past generations have been able to enjoy in their retirement.  I really don't think people should have to keep on working for the rest of their lives just to stay alive, and besides that most people would not be able keep working at their same jobs, especially if they do anything physical.

Let's just put it this way, if there was room for a write in candidate on the ballot, I'd vote for Adrian Monk. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

If we don't care or feel indifferent about the election, you really can't complain what you get the next 4 years!! Everyone as a citizen should have interest in who their elected officials are!! I know you can get into "too busy" or "their all crooks anyway,so what does it matter". Educated people should get educated about their government, because if it does fail, You can't blame anyone but yourselves.

If people feel as strongly as the claim about the election, I think no one should vote, not one person. :angry7: It is time for a new way.

If you don't follow the election then you don't know the issues or what is at stake. My feeling? Continue to remain uninterested on election day and don't vote. No vote is better than an ill informed ignorant vote. :star:

:wave:This election gets frustrating to me because my own opinions are so strong as they back up my true beliefs. This will be an interesting outcome this year.
