What do you think about being asked health questions before getting to a survey about cell phones or travel?

I've notice that the pre-screen questions don't reflect what the survey topic is about. But I believe that is becauce they are screening you for any survey you may qualify for. I notice that they also ask some question more than once. I just keep going til I'm approved or declined.

It always weirds me out too when they ask so many unrelated questions about stuff that has nothing to do with the survey.

Perhaps the real survey questions are in the "pre-screen". Then they get the info they want and get out of paying by saying you don't qualify.

No, pre-qualification questions screen mainly for general demographic criteria.  Qualification questions screen for a particular survey's parameters. Disqualifying by being screened-out before completion of a survey doesn't provide as much usable data as the conspiracists seem to believe.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.
