Why Men Don't Write Advice Columns
« on: September 02, 2012, 04:05:48 am »

Dear Walter,

I hope you can help me here. The other day, I set off for work leaving my
husband in the house watching the TV as usual. I hadn't driven more than a
mile down the road when the engine conked out and the car shuddered to a
halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help. When I got home I
couldn't believe my eyes. He was in our bedroom with the neighbor's
daughter.

I am 32, my husband is 34, and the neighbor's daughter is 22. We
have been married for ten years. When I confronted him, he broke down and
admitted that they had been having an affair for the past six months. I
told him to stop or I would leave him. He was let go from his job six
months ago and he says he has been feeling increasingly depressed and
worthless. I love him very much, but ever since I gave him the ultimatum he
has become increasingly distant. He won't go to counseling and I'm afraid I
can't get through to him anymore.

Can you please help?

Sincerely, Sheila

Dear Sheila:

A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a
variety of faults with the engine. Start by checking that there is no debris
in the fuel line. If it is clear, check the vacuum pipes and
hoses on the intake manifold and also check all grounding wires. If none of
these approaches solves the problem, it could be that the fuel pump itself
is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to the injectors.

I hope this helps,

Walter

At least he offered something helpful.  Usually you just get the glazed eyes and "Huh? I wasn't listening."  Haha

This is a very sad commentary. Perhaps I can be of help. It seems you have chosen a faulty husband. Check and see if you have an extended warranty on him.  If not, my advice is to check his heart and mind and see if this is just a temporary condition or if it is a chronic one. If it is temporary you should have him repaired and functional in no time. It may perhaps be necessary for him to develop a resistance to 22 year old young ladies. Have him vaccinated against that virus. I would however inform her that she has strayed in my backyard and if it happens again I will have her neutered. As for your husband if his condition becomes chronic I advise You to take him to a farm where he can run free and have him adopted as a working sheepdog and you collect his stud fees. Happy motoring!

The challenge:
A man found a genie in a bottle. The genie was so grateful to be let out that he offered the man anything he wanted. The man asked for a bridge to Hawaii so he could drive there. The genie decided this was just too difficult and asked the man to pick something else. The man asked to be able to understand women. The genie considered this and asked the man how many lanes he wanted on his bridge. And you want to know why men don't write advice columns. Ha!

Trade the useless junk in on a new car.At least the car will get you to your job. He won't. They always have an excuse as too why they are fooling around. Usually blaming the other person (you). as far as to the reason men don't write advice columns. they can't take any.

What a load of sexist, biased nonsense the remarks folowing this are.  Women 'cheat' as often as men do and with as little 'reason' needed, (because the 'justifications' vary for both men and women who do so).

They always have an excuse as too why they are fooling around. Usually blaming the other person (you). as far as to the reason men don't write advice columns. they can't take any.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.
