Can babies see spirits or angels?

My Granddaughter is 6 weeks old. My son has a picture of my parents on a top shelf in their living room. No matter where in that room my granddaughter stares at my parents picture and smiles. Do you think she can see my parents spirits?

I happen to wonder this myself. When i am around my nephew or niece they are still young. And they just be looking at thing in awe, like if something is there, and then they just randomly smile and like if they are having a conversation with someone or something

Human babies are programmed to recognize human faces. Most likely she would have the same reaction to seeing a photo of Britney Spears framed on the shelf. But it's nice to think that she might recognize them as her great grandparents. I think it's kind of weird to think she can see their spirits. Even if that was legit, why would the spirits choose to hang around their picture? I know if I was an angel or a spirit hanging around Earth, I'd have better things to do than hang out by my photograph.

Wait, so you look at it as hanging out at ones photograph, as apposed to hanging out at their Grandsons home watching over THEIR Grandson, hmmmm interesting lol

Wow, this just gets more stupid all the time.

First we have angels and spirits floating around, then somebody suggests that aliens are actually demons, and now babies and even our pets are observing spirits.  Come on people, we don't live in the middle ages anymore, get at least a little bit of education about the real world.

OMG ANOTHER one, WHATEVER is all I have to say to that....if I want to think/believe then who the heck are you to tell me otherwise? the more I read up about it i'm believeing it more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....thats MY thoughts and i'm sticking to it!!!!!!!!!!!!

There were a couple of incidences with my children when little.  I won't go into but only one of them.  Our daughter was several weeks old (we also had 2 boys, ages 2 and 4.)  Hubby, all 3 children, and I were having story time in our huge waterbed before tucking them into their own beds.  Our little girl kept moving her eyes at the ceiling like she was watching something going back and forth.  I said to my hubby that it seemed like she was watching something and just a general conversation about what she was doing.  My other 2 sons looked up then, too.  My older 4 year old said, "Can't you see her angel up there, Mommy?"  The 3 of them were looking and moving their eyes at the same time, watching what apparently hubby and I couldn't see.  I told him no I couldn't see the angel, and he told me, "It's okay, nice angel is there for her."  Talk about shivers up and down the spine with hubby and I!

Apparently, this is what happens when xtians start indoctrinating their children with religious, mind-blinding nonsense at an eary age.  Once they become older, their ability to reason may be impaired by such instilled propaganda.

OMG, since my parents passed I have gotten that feeling many many times  ...I so believe they come to visit me once in awhile  ............when my husband passed away numerous times my doorbell rang and nobody was there when I opened the door. a good friend of mine told me that it was a sign from my husband that he made it to heaven.......when my brother and my parents passed the lights would flicker and I believed it was them telling me that they made it to heaven as well and everything will be ok....I have a magnetic telephone on my fridge and one day it rang on it's own..I soooooooooo believe in spirits and angels and the after life
