Yes, I do actually. I was almost homeless a couple times growing up, but thankfully we never actually became homeless. It's a scary situation to be facing as a child and as an adult, but I can only imagine how much more scary it is to actually not have anywhere to live.

i don't personally know any homeless people.
i think if i did, i'd be trying to help them in one way
or another... or trying to find someone who could
help them if i couldn't.

I do not KNOW anyone personally who is.  I have seen people in town or neighboring counties who I have heard are or you can just tell they are.  I don't automatically feel sorry for these people.  Some people are homeless because they choose to be.  Sad but true.  They interviewed a man on the news who was homeless and he said "I am homeless because I drink and I don't work" and coincidently he was drinking on camera. lol  I also do not feel sorry for people who lose their home because they refuse to work or think certain jobs are beneath them.  OR who can't pay their housepayment but still had money for a cell phone, the internet, and cigarettes.  Just my opinion but having somewhere to live comes first.  I will make my house payment first and let the extras go.  Btw, I do not smoke. lol

An old high school friend of ours began drinking heavily, killed someone, went to prison and then was homeless after he was let out.  He stayed with us for a little bit but we haven't heard from him in years

I was until June. Six months because my husband and I split up. I had to go from place to place and even slept outside once. It is not fun, especially when you have no food, but God took care of me, didn't let me go hungry. I pray for all the homeless people today, you know we don't think about it when we are sitting in our nice comfortable chair or couch in our living room, or laying on our bed, but there are tons of people out there with no where to lay their head but the ground, with tempertures to hot, and then when the rain comes they got to look for an overpass and freeze, Please pray for all homeless people to have a place to stay. We have homeless shelters here, but I heard aweful stories of bedbugs and such.

Not that i know of. so sad ive grown up with my dad always telling me they are lazy and drug addicts and they have made the choices to get to that point.... i really dont know if i feel that way but just sad
