Stamps.com offer
« on: August 24, 2012, 05:24:59 pm »
So I tried to signing up with Stamps.com for a 2 weeks trial, got my $7 credit instantly. Besides the $7 they also give you a $5 credit to use. Called them twice now to cancel but everytime I call they extend my free service for a month. I already have till October 4 and it's all free. Does anyone experience this before? I hope it's really free since $14.95 a month for membership is way too much for me.

I haven't seen this but if you want to cancel,
I would insist they cancel your membership.
They may be extending in hopes you will
eventually forget to cancel.
Be assertive.

I'm sure it is free, but make sure you call to cancel.

Yes, I signed up for them and it is great to be able to print your own stamps from home. They kept extending my trial too. Just mark it on your calender and be surree to cancel in time.

When I signed up, I have to download their own apps to my computer.  Installed it but never use it and I will uninstall after I cancel my membership.

I've ordered from them about a year ago and was very pleased with the service.  I didn't sign up for a monthly membership though.  Try reading their T.O.S.  Maybe you can find out more info there.  Good Luck to you!

i use to use Stamps.com

it is a good service. i also was offered extra time when trying to cancel. i finally decided that i had to because they charged me more than the USPS on every type of postage they carry, but they also offered me a free 5lb digital scale, which would be nice right now since i sell on eBay.

I think you just need to put your foot down when it comes to canceling if the service is truly showing you don't want.

Companies will typically offer free services or in some cases, discounted services to appease customers until eventually they stop asking about cancellation (or forget to keep asking) and start paying the monthly fees. Don't get caught in the trap!

I tried to sign up after reading this but my fc bar says its not part of our program. Is it really stamps.com or is there something else in the address?

no i have not tyed this I'm afraid of what you just went Thu as a trial u should be able to stop when the time frame is and no charges.
I would call them if there a number and if not i would put a support ticket in and tell them what has happen they will look into it and get back to you

It does say, "Please note: If you cancel your order, your dollars may be revoked."

Where do you get the stickers to print the stamps?

After you register are you mailed a packet?

I used Stamps.com at one time and it's a good deal and convienent.

Why is it I can't even find the stamps.com offer? I would love it! I even went to the site but the click to earn or the green banner that usually comes up did not even come up. Where can I get a link to this deal?

I signed up with the shipping deal that pays 1.25 with ups and never got credited. I want to try different shipping options for ebay anyway, but I think it is unfair to me and FC that the money for directing me to their site was not ever credited. I am even considering not using them if this is the way they handle business. :-
