Taken For Granted!!

Being taken for granted has happened to me numerous times. I use to have co-workers think just because I was being nice I would always do it. Now my family members take me for granted. I keep my grandchildren everyday and I love helping my daughter but if she and her husband are off they don't ask if I mind watching the kids. It doesn't matter if I have plans, they leave me to take my grandchildren with me, no" do you mind watching the kids" or" can you take the kids with you'. They just GO! I live with them and take care of the household chores, cooking, dishes, laundry and take care of my grandchildren! It is getting old!! Well enough Blowing off STEAM! Thanks for listening. Anyone else in a similar situation at work or home?

I think you need to have a long talk with them. You need to tell them how you feel, and see if something can be worked out.
If you are living with them, maybe they think that is what you owe them for providing you with housing. Or it could be that they just don't realize that they are taking advantage of you.

It doesn't happen as much as it used to.  My grandkids have moved away except for one.  Her mom is real good about asking and I am real bad about not saying no when I want to.  Have that talk with the parents, so that they know how you feel.

 boy can i relate i go Thu the same thing with my son and daughter im the use bag when they need me they call have granddaughter and there always asking me babysit well i got  sick total tired mental and physical now i have set boundaries and say i come first and learn say no at time try set your boundaries love talk more you can get me on Facebook by my name  mary vallee
