I am a dummy
« on: August 22, 2012, 10:17:39 am »
I had never cashed out until a few days ago. It was my first time and I was under the impression that as long as I cashout before the 20th of the month I would receive it that month. Boy was I wrong. I cashed out before the 20th but it says I'll be paid around the 20th of next month. Argh. I could be adding to that check for these next 30 days and make it even bigger.

Not a dummy. Plenty of us have done that. Pretty sure you can cancel your cashout request on the account page. You won't lose anything and can cashout again later towards the end of the month.

We all make those kinds of mistakes from time to time.

You are not a dummy, like me just new.  I was going to do the same thing, but then read some of the postings and changed my mind.  The "old-timers" are GREAT - they are willing to help with anything.  If you are confused about anything just ask, I know you will get replies!

You can cancel the cashout and continue from there.

Cash out by the end of the month to get paid in the next month around the 20th.  Cancel cashout, and recashout before the last day of this month and you'll recieve it around the 20th of next month.

It seems that way but you would have to wait for that check also, and thinking the same thing then.  Congrats on the cash out.

you could always cancel the cashout and earn more money by the end of the month and then re-cash out then - never too late to change your mind.... I have done this before just to be sure I had enough (just in case).

Your not a dummy, we all do things, that is what makes us human. Just cancel the cashout and then recashout at the end of the month.

I agree with the others who commented before me. You made a mistake most of us made. I remember when I joined last year I thought the same kind of thing. Congrats on earning enough to make your first cashout!

I do that on purpose.  I cashout early if I already go past $25 to help me get started on the next month.  This month, I went on vacation, so I'm super behind.  I'm hoping that my money from the last few days of last month will help me push over the $25.  I never like to miss a month so I get my extra $1 payment post.  It takes a long time to make a dollar on here, so I don't like giving it up!  Good luck!

Boy, glad to hear I'm not the only one who thought I'd get paid after the 20th..  I thought I'd cancel and wait till the end of the month, but then realized that if I cancel. Then I'd have to wait till the next month and it took me almost 3 months to get enough for the first cashout, so figured I'd leave it alone. I just wonder why if you cashout, it takes so long to get paid??  But what the heck, money is money and every little bit helps.

Definitely just cancel your cashout and keep collecting for the month. Just don't forget to cashout on August 31st, so you still get paid on September 20th. If you forget and cashout on September 1st, you won't get your money until October 20th. It's really not a big deal though if you don't cancel it, you'll just have a jump start to a larger amount to cash out for next month. It really won't bother you much how much you get every month, once you start getting a check every month.
