I was raised Catholic but I haven't been to mass since I was 15. There's a place down the street that's non-denominational that's pretty nice. Catholic services can really knock you out and it's all very repetitive. Sit, stand, kneel, sit, stand, kneel, etc...

I am a born again Christian.  I am going to a church now that is great.  In every service I can feel the Holy Spirit.  Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keeps you safe.

:) I was born and raised a Russian Orthodox Catholic...I was baptized at my church & so were all my kids...I love my church it's very beautiful...All the windows are stained glass...& each one of them has either Jesus or one of his twelve apostles on them...Our church always has the candles lit in the front  :angel11:...& Our priest does the Incense throughout the church to bless everyone and he also blesses the pictures of Jesus, Mary and all of the twelve apostles on the doors...The priest would go behind the doors and close this red velvet curtain so he can prepare the wine & bread for communion...I  my church with all my ... :peace: :peace: :peace:

I don't consider myself as having a particular religion

No one has a religion; their professed religion has them.

I use to be a buddhist. But last summer I accepted jesus as my savior!
Congratulations on your decision!  :)

Not quite a shocking revelation.

Condolences on deciding to go with unquestioning blind faith and narrow-mindedness instead of open inquiry.

Paganism

Interesting.  There's a "book of shadows" thread in off-topic if that would be of any interest, (depending upon what form of paganism was intended).

I do not view my faith and belief as conforming to any particular religion.  I just have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  After all, the only religion Jesus talked about was the Gospel (Good News).

I just have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

So, you're dating, car-pooling with or, just imagining that you're 'engaged' to an invisible religious egregore?

“The notion that faith in xrist is to be rewarded by an eternity of bliss, while a dependence upon reason, observation, and experience merits everlasting pain, is too absurd for refutation, and can be relieved only by that unhappy mixture of insanity and ignorance called 'faith.'”
