Christmas and Thanksgiving

I have loved Christmas ever since I was a kid. At first it was about presents, but then as I got older I understood that our Saviour was born in Bethelehem of a virgin to bring the whole world to redemption through his everlasting sacrifice. I started to see the importance of having your family there and especially when my family was apart on Christmas time. To come together and celebrate this special time is so amazing with your loved ones. There is really nothing quite like it.

I also enjoy the food. My grandmother would cook a nice meal and sometimes my mother cooks a nice dinner as well. I love curling up with chicken or turkey, mac'n'cheese and sweet potato pie while watching the NBA season debut. That's another Christmas treat. The NBA doubleheader if you're a basketball fan. Anybody else here watch them on Christmas? I have for years and my favorite game was when Shaq returned to LA with the Miami Heat in 2004.

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving: family, football, and food! Can't ask for a better day.
