abortions
« on: August 12, 2012, 10:56:03 am »
I am totally against abortions I don't think it should be legal to abort a living person that has a heart beat I personally think its murder and I don't have any sympathy for people who would even consider abortion.Women should think about adoption instead of abortion at least the baby is still alive and breathing.I couldn't live with my self if I ever aborted any of my children I love my kids to death they are my world don't know what I would do without them. Feel free to comment on this topic its your opinion.

I agree, I'm against abortion....and in cases of rape, the victim should be provided the resources/option to put the child up for adoption

If it's not for you fine just don't tell someone else how they should live or what they should do with their body.

Agreed; especially if such attempts to tell others what to do stem from superstitious religious beliefs.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

I'm literally on the polar opposite of this opinion. I think that it's a woman's choice what she does with her body.
In all reality, if more ignorant females could keep their leg closed/use protection, there wouldn't really be an issue. Since that type of responsibility is too much for most people to take on, abortion should be considered an option. There are so many children in the system and not enough families to adopt them or foster homes for them to stay in. They are then left with a life full of abuse and/or neglect. If I was in their shoes, I would say I'd rather be aborted, but in reality, I would've wished that my birth parents weren't irresponsible and immature enough to have sex without taking precautions since, after all, sometimes when you have unprotected sex, you get pregnant. *SHOCKING*

I think it's the person's choice. I was reading the newspaper a few months ago and saw an article on a 4 month old that was killed by her parents. The baby had been raped, thrown against the wall, and thrown into the fan. Now, are you telling me that you preferred this child go through all that rather than just to have been aborted? And that is definitely not the first case I've seen like that.

I believe its a woman right. Some people do it because they are not financially able to afford to take care of a baby at the time, others because the baby wasn't made out of love, others because their birth control didn't work, rape, incest, or even if their told their body will reject the baby and it needs to be aborted.

It is a personal decision, and is made for the right reason. Its not fair to bring a child into the world they are not capable of caring for, sometimes the birth control doesn't always work. Having a child is a life long commitment, and if you're unable to bring a child into the right environment and you don't feel like you can live with the choice of adoption, let that be that persons decision. Sometimes you can't always afford to take the Pill. Times are hard, its great that its free if you have health insurance, but not everybody can afford that sometimes even through their employers none the less the unemployed.

Having an abortion is less dangerous than having a baby.

Yes, there should be restrictions, not being able to have an abortion after the first trimester. But especially for women who are victims of rape and incest, they should be allowed that right to choose as well as every other woman. In addition, rape and incest survivors should be granted the right for all the free therapy they deserve and need.

I am not going to try and change someone's point of view, because mine will never be changed. It is how I believe, and as a woman, I deserve the right to do with my body how I please. I don't want to be responsible for bringing in a child I can't care for financially, into a relationship that is unstable, into a life that the child won't have a fair chance to be happy and well taken for.

dreamy xo like I said its my opinion I'm not telling any one how to live there life and u totally misunderstood me I said if the baby has a heart beat I've did my research on this and its horrific the pictures that I've seen of full term babys being aborted 40 weeks and down I was just saying it should be done at an earlier stage not when the baby has to be pulled out and have his or her brains crushed and have there body parts fall apart u should do your research and maybe you will agree too if not oh well

In the United States, it is illegal to preform an abortion on a woman that is over 12 weeks into her pregnancy, which is approximately the same time a heart beat can be detected. The fetus is 3-4 inches long and has discernible limbs at the end of the 3rd trimester.
Of course, if someone is preforming ILLEGAL abortions, they should be stopped since that's incredibly dangerous to the woman carrying. The same can be said for anyone practicing any form of medical procedures outside of a professional office.

I personally wouldn't get an abortion but I wouldn't take the choice away from someone else. That might be the right decision for them.

I think it is a persons choice whether or not to abort, and that right should not be taken away. Yes, I agree more girls/women should learn to keep their leg closed. Abortion shouldn't be a form of birth control.

I'm pro-choice about everything, including abortion.  Fortunately, I've never walked in the shoes of someone who experienced an unexpected pregnancy.

I won't judge because we're all individuals and we all need to use our best judgement whenever it's time to make important decisions.

Have a great day!

I personally believe that having sex should be the choice, that is the only choice after that, abortion...thats not a choice!!  Reading through some of these post shows peoples ignorance, the one about a 4 month old and what it went through, but yet then they state that  "abortion"  isn't killing a human?  Seriously?  IGNORANCE!!  I actually know of 3 people that have had an abortion, makes me sick, but I am still there friend I won't judge them its not my place they will get that in the future.  I think more people should look at it as given a gift not a choice!!
