Site Downtime
« on: April 04, 2009, 01:17:56 pm »
FusionCash was offline for approximately 15 hours, from yesterday (Friday) evening until about an hour ago.  The cause of the downtime was hard disk failure in the main FusionCash server.  Fortunately, the server is equipped with redundant hot backups, so returning to normal operation with no data loss was quick and easy (once I drove over to the hosting center).  To repeat: no data were lost, and no security or other breaches occurred.  Hardware failure is an unfortunate but common occurrence, even among enterprise-grade hardware like FusionCash uses.

For the future we will be equipping our servers with yet ANOTHER backup hard disk to "hot failover" in the event of another similar disk failure.

Thanks for your patience and loyalty, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

hmm I didn't notice, maybe wasn't on during that time. I'm sorry that happened, must have been stressful and time consuming. My bf's brother-in-law had a similar situation at his office. He is an eye doctor, except he didn't have the backup so he lost a lot of his new patient's info/records. Sucks. I'm glad FC was prepared and everything is fine...as though no one knew. lol. thanks FC
