Is Dark Knight a bad influence on people or is it just a good movie?

Movies don't make people bad... the guy who killed innocent people is sick, plain and simple.

I personally will not go see it. I live in Colorado and had a friend die and the whole thing just left a bad taste in my mouth. But no, I don't think that there is anything inherently wrong with the movie.

There has been a lot of hype about the new Batman movie going around lately, especially after the horrific shooting in Colorado. I'm a huge fan of Batman, and pretty much any other superhero movie. That being said, though I'm sure it's not news to anyone, I've noticed movies in the past few years have become increasingly violent. Why? Because it's what the fans want!  To say that these movies contain too much violence is absurd. Isn't that what heroes and villains do? Fight? Scrap? Beat each other up? Try to kill each other!? Violence in movies is nothing new and the new Batman movie is no exception. This IS a good move! Movies don't make people hurt other people. Guns are not the problem. Some people are just harmful. Don't get me wrong, I have a boat of sympathy for those affected by the shooting, and I won't say it wasn't a huge surprise, but it's really nothing new. These things happen, tragic as it may be. And violence in movies isn't going to stop anytime soon, as far as I can see. Really, I could go on and on about this! But I'll spare you all.. lol *end rant.
Long story short?
Speaking as a semi-professional movie critic, the new Batman movie was very enjoyable and well done.  :star:  :star:  :star::star:
