when I was a kid I wanted to be either a photographer or a writer/journalist; but then I found out I didn't have the necessary skills for photography nor the passion for writing, and now I'm in college pursuing the science field

I always wanted to be a cowgirl, but I lived in the wrong part of the country then.  I did go into the medical field, starting out as a secretary, switchboard, payroll clerk, medical records, and finally ended up in the laboratory department where I stayed until I retired 30 years later.

I always wanted to be a MOM too.....but I also thought it would be fun to be a singer, an artist, a stewardess, a teacher, a nurse.

I ended up as a Mom of 4 and now I am a caregiver for men with traumatic brain injury who live in a group home...not quite a nurse....and...

Actually when I was little I wanted to be a lot of things. I had wanted to a meteorologist when I was in elementary school and had learned about and saw them on television. At one point I wanted to be a writer and was somewhat good at it, so I thought I would author children's books. Then another time I wanted to be a teacher because I admired my 2nd grade teacher. It kind of depended on what I was interested in at the moment.

When I became a teenager and became a sports fan I wanted to play pro basketball, but wasn't athletic. If I could have lived my life all over again I would have loved to have been a pro basketball player and been the best at it since this is my favorite sport and I just love the idea of being able to make stellar plays at both ends. It would have been awesome to dunk and literally walk on air like those guys.

Currently my hobby is online selling and if I could, I would do that full time, so I guess my interests and desires have come a long way since I was a child.

I wanted to be a fireman. I came from a small community in NY and Probably would have been one because alot of my childhood friends became fireman. My family moved away from NY when I was 16. I wound up going into the Military (during draft of 1971) and retiring from the Military. I now don't regret a bit not becoming a fireman!! I don't think I would have ever seen what I did see in the Military.

I wanted to be an artist, until I grew up and realized that my parents lied to me. I actually couldn't draw that well, but they made me believe I could. LOL...I love them.

I actually came across a box with some old childhood drawings. Apparently, I wanted to grow up to be a Ghostbuster. In retrospect, that STILL sounds like an awesome career.

I wanted to be a teacher but I became a interested in helping people so I became a Nurse then I started doing homecare and now I teach my son in home schooling and I also have care clients. So I guess I actually did what I wanted except my class only has one student. hahaha I am called a Learning coach to my sons education.

when i was little, i wanted to be a crossing gourd
(i thought the vests were cool, LOL)...and then i wanted
to be a fashion designer. i actually did make it to art school,
but i went with interior design instead. i'm now working in
graphic design.

Career-wise I wanted to be a nurse.  Ended up doing medical transcription but am glad because it allowed me to work from home and be with my children.  Also wanted to be a wife and mother, which did come true - married for 38 years with two wonderful children who are now adults.
