Paypal has a new process for Identification

That sounds strange, I tried to find information on those new regulations and couldn't find a concrete answer.  It might be a scam because I've never been notified about that issue.

Anytime I get those so called fishy emails with a Paypal title I send them to the PayPall scam folder for them to review and tell me if its official or not.

I've noticed a lot of problems with paypal in the past and even more emerging. Now I just get my check mailed to my house to prevent all the problems. My bank has messed up my other direct deposits before... it can be a real pain!

I haven't noticed this...Just linked my paypal to my bank account and everything was fine..hope this doesn't interfere with my account

I noticed that, a few months ago, when I logged in my bank's website to do online banking, they said that because of new federal regulations, besides all the info they had, that they had to add two security questions and answers to my account to increase security or something like that. It happen in at least two more of my financial institutions where I do a lot of online banking. Maybe it is related somehow. I don't know, but two security questions would seem fair to me, compared to what PayPal is requesting, which is totally unnecessary; unless you have been flagged for suspicious activity, like most of you are saying.

ESpirit18 - Hello Guys  !!  I have a couple of things to say here.  First !  I,m finally getting my first  ! ( Payout )  form  FusionCash !  I,m being paid by  Direct Deposit !  I requested my payout on  ( 8/4/2012 )  I won,t receive my  ( Direct Deposit ! )  until ( 9/20/2012 )  This  *bleep* !  is absolutely  RIDICULOUS !!!  This is almost  ( 2 - Months ! )  to get my hard earned money.  If any of you find this acceptable,  WHAT ARE YOU THINKING !!!  I certainly will not accept this.........  Now !  about  ( PayPal ! )  if you have not experienced the  MASSIVE THEFT, CORRUPTION AND, LACK OF COOPERATION FROM THIS  CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION.......  YET !  believe me, you certainly will soon.  If you don,t believe me !!!  go to  YouTube !  and, look -up all the hundreds of complaint videos about  PAYPAL  !!  This Co.  has stolen millions from account holders by  ( Locking / limiting )  your account while your funds are still in your account.  This happened to me,  GUYS !  I,m speaking from experience.......  You have been warned !!!  Best of luck !!!

^ people like this give good companies bad names. PayPal is the most used money transfer in the world. What the OP said is a scam... And there are many scams out there. But to bad mouth a perfectly good company like the post above is ridiculous. Sure you can go to YOutube and see videos of bad mouthing PayPal I'm sure you can go there an find thousands of people bad mouthing wal Mart too but it's the most established company in the world. You can put anything on the Internet. And PayPal can't just steal your money lol if that wa happening noone would use them. Most people make mistakes or fall for a scam and then go around bad mouthing a company which is their own fault they didn't check into it and fell for the scam... An now they are ba mouthing a good company lol anyway paypal is completely safe and even added a new feature to scan your check and deposit it into your links account through their mobile app

There are so many scams around the world. It does get really scary when you have to watch your back so people wont take your last little hard earned money. If people just try and do things right we wont have so many problems with money.

That was my firsy thought. Too bad a few dishonest ones make it difficult for the majority of us who are honest.

I gues people should be more carefull and stop transactioning high ammount of money on it.. then maby they will be more carefull with what they do as well.

WOW  I have not seen this but , I have been a member of Paypal for many years.  I think I gave them all that info when I joined.

I have used pay paypal for years and I have never had any issues with them, my cash outs go directly to paypal and I have never been questioned when asking for a withdrawal. But I can see where they need to verify identity, it is for our own good that they do so.
