Obviously this was written to be a jab at atheists and is not a hypothetical situation because no intelligent atheist would strike up a conversation with anyone in that way. Also, it's quite easy to know why different animals have different sized poops (varying digestive tract lengths, unique diets).

It's a funny joke, though, IF you insert the proper person to be the subject of it (i.e., not an atheist).

Not only that, (excellent contextual points), but the unspoken part of that contrived 'story' was a tangential diversion from the proposed subject of discussion.  The same lame technique is practiced by at least two or three xtian fundies on these forums.
