I personally think that it all comes down to preference. I'm 25 and I think the oldest man I could ever be with would be 27. I'm just not attracted to men that are significantly older than me at all. I don't want to date my father. If anything I usually dated men a couple of years younger than me because I wouldn't have to deal with their desire to get married and have children since that is something I'm not ready to do (and probably won't ever be). My boyfriend right now is the first man I've been with who is the same age as me and he's starting to press the marriage/kids issue now.  :BangHead: Generally, though, I don't look for age. I look for physical attraction...they just happen to be younger.  :dontknow:

Each to his/her own....as previously stated. Having said that, in the last 2 weeks, two sets of my couple friends (one gay and one heterosexual) have just broken off after 11+ years together. The age difference eventually counted against them. The older ones thought the younger partners were too immature and the younger ones thought the older partners were to "fuddy-duddy". Sad. :sad1:

I read somewhere that there's an "eleven year itch" like the "seven year itch". It's kind of weird, but when I polled my friends with previous mistakes, all but two had broken up in the eleventh year! my previous mistake divorced me almost EXACTLY eleven years after we got committed --we went to court 3 days after the anniversary. Too bad about your friends.. my other half and I have now been together 8 years, but it doesn't look like we'll have a problem with eleven LOL
