Did anyone go and support them today? I did!  ;D

Support senseless bigotry? Never.

I support this:

If they can support a 'supernatural' basis of belief, I can support more 'recalls' such as this:

"Chick-fil-A’s Vice President of Public Relations Don Perry died “suddenly” Friday, (8-3-12), morning, the company confirmed."

I know this forum is freedom of speech but we as people should show respect in what we post. The comment about getting a kick out of balck people not supporting gay rights because people lines up to fight for us was unnecessary. No one should be dicriminated against for any reason. In the beginning there was Adam and Eve, man and woman. There was not man and man nor woman and woman. If people want to be bisexual thats their choice and like any other choice we make in life we have to deal with them. Regardless they should be treated with respect just as anyone else. So lets not make race a factor in this.

Your original post said you tried to eat there. Only logical conclusion... you are against equal rights for homosexuals. Which leads to you DISCRIMINATING against homosexuals.  Peoples religious beliefs USED to make it ok for black people to be slaves.

Homosexuals can already get married anywhere that heterosexuals can, in some states they can even do this with the same sex (although that required a redefinition of marriage).  While I have no problems at all with them also getting special privileges that married people have, I do not like them redefining what marriage is to do this.  I also don't like it now being an issue of sex or love/lust as a qualifier to have this special privilege.  I think this special privilege should be allowed to be bind-able between any two mutually agreeing people without any requirements that they have sex with each other or love each other.

When people support a business I wonder why they are considered bigoted etc.  Whatever happened to everyone having freedom of speech?  That only seems to apply to people on the left.  When the left goes on a rampage no one is helped - a kiss-a-thon by a bunch of people is just stupid.  Supporting Chick-filet by buying something is a good thing.

I don't mind leaving the word "marriage" to God. If it's a civil union were benefits can be passed, hospital visits granted and file a joint tax return

The comment wasn't hateful towards gay people, he was asked his opinion and he gave it. He never said anything degrading.

I Think Thats a disgrace..  Besides the fact its no ones business. Its a free country and everyone and anyone should be allowed everywhere without having to feel bad. A restaurant should have no say and should welcome all customers no matter there sexual preference thats like saying no black people or no jews or people with blue hair for that matter! Are we going back in time!?!? EveryOne is Equal in this country and this is a violation of rights. :peace:[/b]

I think we were already in agreement on that.  What is sad is that I think that would satisfy most everyone (or it should -- nobody should object to that even if it did lead to other groups then wanting similar benefits).  Why isn't something like that proposed so that it is recognized nationally in the same way as marriage?

I don't really care about any of the religious or political issues. I just love their chicken and will continue to enjoy it every chance I get whether the president of the company has a right wing political view or dances naked around a fire and chants in some rarely known language, it has no bearing on how my food tastes. Sorry gay people you open a restaurant that supports gay marriage and the food is good I'll eat there too.

I have NOT read every single comment BUT people created the concept of union known as marriage, NOT God. I don't see why a fast-food chain should even have a stance on homosexual marriage, they sell food NOT wedding certificates afterall. Marriage/civil unions should be exactly what theyr were meant to be, a union between two PEOPLE without regard for whether it be man and woman or two people of the same gender, end of story. Why should YOU have a say in what TWO OTHER INDIVIDUALS commit to?

I don't go to Chick-fil-A a lot simply because it's inconveniently located for me.  However, I feel anyone has the right to express their opinion on anything so I support those who support and those who are against the comments made by the Chick-fil-A honcho.  I also support his right to say what he wants.  It's all about freedom of speech.
