:'( I join in prayer. That was terrible. I saw on the news this young lady had a 3 yr old son and a 4 month baby with her. Can't imagine what those babies were going through and poor mom, my heart breaks. Thank God they are ok now, ,,, I do feel sorry for all those that died. May God give peace to the family.  :crybaby2:

Blessings to all the families affected by this horrific display of cowardice on their relatives.

I don't respect "prayer", nor am I required to 'respect' superstitious religious beliefs.  If someone wants to help the families of survivors, they could contribute to an assistance fund for them or, go out to Colorado and offer personal assistance to them.  "Prayers" accomplish nothing and offer an insubstantial pretense of condolence.

I haven't watched much more since Friday, has he mentioned why he did it?

And although another approach could have been more useful falcon..... what he/she said was true in the sense that prayer is not immediate help. Instead of praying, offer your assistance or donate.

It is such a tragic event in Colorado. Prayers go up for all those families. I hope for the day when Jesus Christ comes to restore this planet to paradise, where there will be no more such terrible things happening to people.

As soon as I heard about it, I whispered a prayer for God to be with the families.  How terrible that must be, my heart goes out to them.

my heart goes out to the families in Colorado that suffered losses at the hands of a deranged lunatic. What can influence someone to have a reckless disregard to human life.

May the Lord put his hands on the people and appease their hearts. Our prayers are with all the families who lost someone that day!

falcon9, if talks about God bother you so much then why you keep participating in threads like this?  That's the thing about atheists, they try to remove any type of references to the creator.  But we never try to mess with theirs.  What is your motive?

I've already answered that numerous times however, it remains because these forums/threads are not some exclusive domain of xtian proselytizing/propaganda.  Responses opposing/disputing such proselytization constitute "participating" just as much as xtian knee-jerk agreements do.

That's the thing about atheists, they try to remove any type of references to the creator.  But we never try to mess with theirs.  What is your motive?

That's teh thing about faith-blinded fundamentalists; they keep trying to inject references to hypothetical supernatural entities into any event/occurance without any substantive linkage.  The "motive" of using reason to oppose the unreasoning irrationality of 'religious beliefs' is that such religious irrationality is a historically-proven hinderance to mankind.

“Faith is the great cop-out, the great excuse to evade the need to think and evaluate evidence. Faith is belief in spite of, even perhaps because of, the lack of evidence.”

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of those who lost loved ones in that senseless tragedy in Colorado and I am sure they are grateful for all the prayers being said for them and their loved ones.  But we as a nation need to stop just ignoring people who display obvious signs of mental instability and negativity towards American beliefs and values, i.e  religion, government, etc.  We dont have to agree with all these things, but constant displays of extreme negativity should be a red flag.

That's one of the most inherently religiously-biased loads of nonsense I've come across so far this week.  Equating so-called "negativity" regarding "religion" with mental instability when those holding irrational religious beliefs are far more obviously mentally-unstable is more than ironic.

"History does not record anywhere at any time a religion that has any rational basis. Religion is a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up to the unknown without help. But like dandruff, most people do have a religion and spend time and money on it and seem to derive considerable pleasure from fiddling with it."
-- Robert Heinlein
