I have been with my boy friend 12 years and we both love holding hands where ever we go.  You are never too old or in relationship too long to show affection in public.

My parents held hands whenever out until the day he died. I do too - handholding is connecting, and affection. It's important and when someone is on their deathbed you always see loved ones holding their hands, just like little babies clamping their little hands around mom or dad's fingers. It's natural and loving.
