Whining
« on: July 15, 2012, 11:25:39 am »
Who here thinks whining is a good thing or a bad thing? I think whining is a good thing because it alerts others to come to the rescue. Babies are a great example of whining. Because I have whined others have come to my aid and given me reminders and updates to fusioncash's rules and regulations which has helped me most beneficially.

babies don't whine they cry and yes there is a difference. I can't stand whining and it will get a person nowhere with me. Crying is something a person does when they are in need of something (such as a baby crying for food or a diaper change) or from strong emotions (such as being sad or even happy) whining is what people do when they are being spoiled brats who aren't getting their way (such as a child whining because they want a toy or an ice cream before dinner or an adult whining because life doesn't go their way all the time.) Big difference in crying and whining.

You're welcome. I have no patience at all for whining and my kids know this. The stop real quick when they get that 'look' lol

There is no reason an adult male should whine.

I couldn't agree with you more. I don't even like when children whine much less when adults do it.

Whining is a bad thing. If you need help, you can ask a question and someone will reply with an answer.

The one thing that whining does for me when I hear others do it is remind me not to! It really is an unattractive quality and I'm sure we all do it sometimes. For me, I try to keep that at a minimum and call myself on it when I hear it coming out of my mouth and even in my head. Does no good, doesn't generate solutions, and no one wants to hear it. From the other posts I read - apparently many members don't appreciate whining! :peace:

I guess it depends on who is doing the whining.

I hate when people whine, especially when you're grown...not cute.

whining doesn't accomplish anything and it annoys the mess out of whoever has the misfortune to have to listen to it.  Instead of whining, do something productive...like fixing or changing whatever it is that is making you unhappy.
