My Dad turned 13 on Friday the 13th so he loves it! I am not superstitious though in 3rd grade I did end up with a lunch box full of ants at the end of the day on Friday the 13th even though I had emptied it of food. Oooooh...

I dont know what it is but I'm sure there is some history behind why Friday the 13th is considered unlucky.  I am a little superstitious to the point where I choose not to go out on Friday the 13th unless I absolutely have to. :

I am superstitious about some things like I believe if someone passes away then a new life will be born in the world. But at the same time I will not open an umbrella in doors and do not freak out about a black cat that crosses my path if fact I love black cats. To me its just another day in the week.

There was a lot on the radios today about the friday the thirteenth superstition and how people just aren't believing in it any more.  Some have said that since the belief has died down so has much of the bad luck associated with it because people aren't broadcasting their misfortunes as much.  I have little superstitions that I don't cross but don't let them control my life which is the way that everyone should look at it.  More power should be given to good Friday and positive holidays...accentuate the positive and forget about the negative.
