Mechanical versus organic?  Too funny!  Are you from Boulder, Colorado?!?  I think that Spiderman was good in his original form but seems to be meta-morphisizing into whatever anyone feels will sell more movie tickets.  I hear that the new spiderman was put together so that the producers could keep the hero in our minds and continue to make cash off of us while minimizing the expense that had come with actors who had starred in three movies.  Those same actors were making a pittance of what the producers were making.

I saw it the other day.Not nearly as good as the original film, imo. If you're a die-hard comic book movie fan like myself, you might enjoy it.Otherwise,I'd say just wait for The Dark Knight Rises. ;D

It looks like a remake to me. Maybe when it comes on cable.

I'll watch it  just because it's something to do, after they ruined venom in the previous series of movies before this reboot I stopped caring about spider-man. =-P

yea they have the right characters, and the web shooters are like the comics, and his girlfriend is right this time.  not sure why they messed that up in the original movies

I wanna see the movie. It looks like it will be a good movie. I have heard both positive and negative things about the new movie, hoping it will be worth the sitting.

In the comics, and old cartoons, Peter created and used web shooters because he was not able to create web from within his body.

I liked it but still I will rate it low over the first one. Graphics and direction was better in new one but still old one was better in my opinion

The original will always be the one I grew up with, but the effects in the new one were still pretty mind-blowing (saw it in IMAX). Plus, the actors in the movie are my personal favs anyways :)

I've wanted to see this movie, but I'll probably wait until it comes out on DVD or netflix. The trailers look really good.I liked Toby Maguire as Peter but I was totally unimpressed with Kirsten Dundst as Mary Jane.
