I've been using my Samsung Galaxy S a year next month. It's my first smart phone and I love it. I've been using it a lot over the past year because I had a really slow and old computer and just had to rely on my phone to check certain things.

I have had my nokia for about 3 years. I dont text that is what I got my computer for as well as the internet. I cant see squinting to type. I use my phone to talk. There has been too many people killed , injured because of those. I think it is New Jersey you cant even text and walk. They have had numerous pedestrians killed because if it.

I have an HTC Thunderbolt and I actually firmly believe in upgrades! I use my cellphone for practically everything (funnily enough, calling people is probably the last thing I do with it!) so it's really important to me that I have a smartphone that's new and speedy instead of just kinda sorta functional.

I've had my current cell for 4 years.  But have had a cell for over 10 years.  I have not gone to the smart phone - just the basic.  Sometimes Is question getting one and then I look at the cost compared to mine.  I don't know where I can get a fancy one for the little I pay each month  @$10.00.  I also still use my home phone for my basic communication.

How long have you had your current cell phone? Do you upgrade often?

I have had mine (lotus) for over 2 years. It isnt fancy but it works well so why pay for a new one? That is my philosophy.
I am the same way. I use it still it breaks lol !  I have also had mine for 2 years.

I have an LG slide up cell phone through straight talk I have had it for almost three years now, I plan to upgrade in a few months or so, since it tends to shut it self off on its own.
