Would you stop to pick up a penny?

I never ever use to, Use to throw them away.. But now as I am older, and life has changed so very much.. I look for pennies to pick up.. But they will be gone from this country soon because they will not be making them anymore..

I always pick up a penny mostly because it says on it "IN GOD WE TRUST" and I do trust and believe.

Sure I would if I dropped it but I don't just go around picking up pennies. I do have piggy bank full of pennies.

Here is an anecdote that applies to this thread:  supposedly at some point after he had established himself as one of the richest people in the U.S., Warren Buffett stopped and reached down to pick up a penny.  Some of the people around him were shocked at this.  Seeing their surprise, Buffett declared "The start of the next billion."

Pennys add up. I always stop and pick them up thean I put theam in a jar to save for something nice.

Of  course I would, I mess around here for sometimes more than an hour a day for a very few pennies!   LOL

I would collect a penny just because I like collecting my change I usually save up most the year and cash it in for a rainy day

You'd better believe it and last month, I saw my hubby picking up something in a parking lot and when he met me at the restaurant, he gave me $1.23... that someone left in the parking lot in change... I'm excited about pennies and he found that!!!

I have seen pennies and picked them up.  You may have heard the old adage, "See a penny and pick it up; all the day you'll have good luck".   And remember, it takes longer to save pennies than the quarters, dimes and nickels.

I was at a club in NYC one night. This kid dropped all his quarters on the ground and he was just fine with not picking them up, so I picked them up and used them for my tolls home.
