Do you still eat SPAM?

Lately I been seeing a lot of recipes that is based on SPAM the meat product. I never knew there were so many ways to prepare SPAM. I never really liked SPAM when I was growing up and have not purchased it since I have been an adult.

Do you still eat SPAM? Have you ever ate SPAM? What kind of meat is SPAM anyway LOL!

I haven't eaten SPAM for many years.  I remember that I liked it.

Occasionally, even though it's been awhile, I'd eat turkey spam with romaine lettuce & sweet peppers.

I love fried SPAM and eggs in the morning.  I have had SPAM, lettuce, tomato, and Swiss cheese sandwiches for lunch a few times.  It's also good if you use it with other meats in a meatloaf.  Personally, mine is ground beef, ground turkey, a little bit of sausage, SPAM, Italian flavored breadcrumbs, eggs and my spices.  (Can you tell I grew up in a family where I was the youngest of 7 kids??)

Once in a while, I like it.  When I was in Hawaii for a while, I swear it was the state meat!  LOL

I haven't eaten spam since I was a kid many years ago Didn't even know it was still around.

It's been a long time since I've had it, but I liked it fairly well when I was a kid.  I'll have to try it sometime and see if I still do.. maybe with some eggs, since that sounds good.

I have eaten spam before, but that was like years ago.
Not sure what kind of meat it is though... ahah

Spam is supposed to stand for spiced ham. I don't know if I believe that or now. I used to be served it when I was younger but I wouldn't voluntarily eat it now unless I was very very hungry

Yes I do!! I love spam!! My two favorite meals are spam and Corned beef Hash!!

I'm so glad when I was younger, my mom never bought it so I don't know what it tastes like. As an adult, I have no desire to even try it. Seems too artificial to me.

Spam was served fairly regularily when I was a kid and if anything was put on your plate you'd better eat it or daddy would spank!  I didn't like it then and would not eat it now.  Not saying it's that bad but being forced to eat it certainly left a bad taste in my mouth.  lol

I've never eaten spam - ever.  My mother made it sound like it was some sort of poison when I was growing up.  When my kid came home from a friends house saying he loved spam and asked me to buy it - I was mortified.  After having read up on it and seeing that other than it's high salt it's not a horrible thing at all.  Still haven't tried it though.

One thing I could not stand as a kid was Liver, I would sit at the table for hours because I would no eat it, it made me gag. Go figure!! Now I love it!! A Plate of Liver and fried Onions!! yum yum!!
