Like most everyone here, I grew up watching the Andy Griffith show, and absolutely loved watching Matlock. And, if any of you have ever heard him sing...he was awesome!! Rest in peace, Andy...you will be missed! He is now with his Lord & Savior that he loved so much!

I also enjoyed Andy Griffith in his show and on Matlock. I was surprised to hear that news today. I hope the moments leading up to his death weren't too painful.

I was saddened to read of Andy Griffith passing away this morning.    I enjoyed his "The Andy Griffith Show" and "Matlock" series. He was a very good actor.  He will missed. RIP MR. Andy Griffith.

A little piece of my childhood has died.  I grew up with Andy and remember watching it religiously when it originally ran on CBS.  RIP Andy, you will be missed.  :crybaby2: :crybaby2: :crybaby2:

it really was sad to hear about him passing.  we live a couple of hours from Mt Airy, where it was taped.  have talked about going for awhile now but think we'll hold off.  pretty safe bet that place will get flooded with tourists for the next few months.

I watched the Andy Griffith reruns growing up and that was when decent TV was still on. We lost a good one!

I wish tv was as good now as it was then. I would love to watch some tv, but most of it is junk. Miss ya Andy Griffith!

Yes, he was a good actor and will be missed by a lot of people.  They just don't make good shows like his anymore. :(

I watched him as a kid, as a teen and as an adult but what I remember most is driving home from the grocery store and hearing "What It Was Was Football" on the radio.  I am not exaggerating, I had to pull over an wait until I could stop laughing because I couldn't see the road.  RIP Andy.

I'm not sure if I've heard of "What It Was Was Football."  What was it about?
