I think of sandwiches, I really like them. If I knew where the person who invented sandwiches was buried I would put a rose on his grave. No one thinks about sandwiches but the world would be a better place if people just shared a sandwich. I think of that when I look at the sky.

One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

I look at the sky once in a while, but I wonder all the time.  Meditation and prayer can answer some questions we all wonder about.

Honestly....

When I look up to the sky... (which I do often)

I feel at peace.   :)

Hard to explain.

I look up to the sky and see a beautiful sky... It is either full of puffy clouds... or a clear blue sky... At night... it is full of bright stars... or cloud covered.. or you can see the big brilliant moon!!!  JUST AMAZING!!!!

It makes me calm and at ease.   :angel11:

I love it...

This really helps with my anxiety.

If I am having a bad day... I can sit and take a deep breathe...

And see all the wonderful things that sometimes we forgot are there...

I can watch the clouds float by... watch the leaves dance in the wind... I just soak in our beautiful nature.   :bunny:

This truly helps me with dealing with the horrible anxiety and well pain too.  Take your mind off it... and just gaze and enjoy the peace....  :angel11:

Thinking... is what I do not do when I enjoy this time...

There is no evidence that "prayer" has 'answered' any question ever posed.  This is, instead, an unsupported religious belief.

"Religion is the masterpiece of the art of animal training, for it trains people as to how they shall think."
-- Arthur Schopenhauer

I look at the moon and think about the fact that the same moon with the same light is also shining on so many other people who are looking at it.

:) Always as gorgeous.

I like to look up to the clouds or sky as you call it. It gives me peace. I don’t even wonder or think of anything at all.  :peace:

I love looking at the beautiful sky that God made for us to enjoy.  I am always watching the clouds and try to make different animals, etc. out of their shapes.  As for wondering why I am here, I guess mostly to enjoy God's awesome creation and to worship Him.

That religious attribution is false because it lacks evidence.

That's a faith-based religious belief which has no valid basis.

Looking at the sky always brings me peace, and helps put things in perspective. Ego sometimes makes things complicated, but after some sky-gazing, I always appreciate what I have, and my mind gains clarity.

Yes, when I look at the sky and everything around me I marvel at how big of a God we have and wonderful it is that he created all of this.

I agree with you, albefish.  Others won't.

I am at peace.

It's easier to agree with nonsense out of blind faith than to disagree and support a dissenting rational viewpoint. That religious attribution is false because it lacks evidence and just another faith-based religious belief which has no valid basis.

I know God created the heavens, and I know that whereever I look my Lord is.

Ever since the 9/11 tragedy if I am away from home or outside I look up in the sky and check to see if I can see a comercial jet flying which gives me the secure feeling that at least nothing major bad is going on because that would be the first thing grounded.

As an art student, I find myself loving summer and fall time. I just spend the entire day at the park, lying flat-backed on the grass, and watching the world go by. I try not to think too much when I look up at the sky. I just allow myself to get lost in the sea of blue, with the occasional white that passes in my line of sight. I've usually got headphones in, a coffee in one hand, and a notepad and pen nearby for whenever inspiration hits me the hardest. It's really a great way to spend the afternoon.
