What happened that kids very rarely are seen outside playing, running around, using their imagination, exercising, catching bugs and insects, riding bikes, etc., other than at school and occasional fun events or those who make them go out for awhile? 

Great question.....for those of us that actually got to do those things we were blessed if only parents would get their children to enjoy it now

what happen to when gas prices where like 1.25?

wow I dont remember them days but I must say i did know when gas 2.25 a gallon.

I remember as a 12 year old boy we moved from the city to the country. The news announced gas would hit $.75 by Labor Day. My mom had a fit. It was 20-25 miles to the city. We would be lucky to go to town once a month. Now, that gas is nearing $4.00 a gallon, she talk of going to town 3 times in one day.

What happened to when game companies would sell you a game and that was it, you didn't have to be connected to the internet, you didn't have to pay for extra content. The entire game was self-contained on that cartridge and that was that. If a game had a bad ending people just dealt with it, heck games used to be so hard people rarely even beat them so the endings didn't matter.

What happened to when gas was 29.9C per gallon, and what happened to when you could buy a house for 34,990, now you can't even buy a nice car for that price. What happened to when you could discipline your children without someone calling you an abusser, or what happened to when the schools were run by what the parent's set for their children instead of what the teachers set out for all children.

What happen when an iou was actually paid and not "forgotten" about.  I have met some people recently (and it seems more and more) that something is lent out.  Whether it's money or a good deed and a simple IOU is completely amiss.  When I was a kid my brother would snag $20 out of my Mothers purse and literally right on a piece of paper.  "Mom, I owe you $20" - - - I'm pretty sure she still has those pieces of paper somewhere.

What happened to dress codes?  When I was in school, girls weren't even allowed to wear shorts unless it was extremely hot because we didn't have AC in our Florida schools, and I didn't go to a parochial school either.  It was a long time ago.  Now most kids go around looking like hood rats.  Disgusting.
