I have been called a number of times in my lifetime, had several times where I had to wait my turn for multiple days and was asked to go to the stand once, but I never actually served.

I served twice for jury duty in my life and luckily both were civil lawsuits. I just recently completed the 8-9 days service early this month. The verdict was pretty complex. I disliked to be part of the jury panel. I was fortunate enough to be selected as an alternate juror.

I have been called twice in the last 12 years or so, have not been chosen for a panel either time.  My latest call was for this past fall; the day I showed up I had to park three blocks away, and the room where we gathered was standing room only.  The reason?  They had called between 500-700 people; normal procedure, but normally nowhere nearly that many show up.  The reason so many showed up this time was that so many more were not working at the time.  So many showed up that the judge dismissed about a third of those who did and told them to come back to serve for the spring term.

I have gone to jury duty several times but only got picked for a case once. I don't mind doing it, I think it is part of my civic duty.

I have yet to do jury duty, but from what I have heard, it is very tedious with very decent pay. It helps to take the early days available, so the experience won't be as bad.

I have been called but filled out papers to get out of it. I was too sick at the time. I have not been called again. I don't really want to.

I've never done jury duty,  every time I need to go,  I've been on some sort of medication that
kept me from going.  Or I was caring for an elderly person in home that kept me from going.

I served last month between May and June for a month on a Grand Jury. I'm just getting my checks now. I didn't like the experience at all. The idea of people that don't want to be there determining someone's fate never made sense to me. Also, learning on the job and making mistakes shouldn't be allowed for in situations this serious. I had to take a short course and test to be a notary public, but to send a case to trial, I didn't have to know anything. That's just disturbing to me. It was completely uncomfortable. I don't want to do it again.

I've been called to do it, but never ended up having to be on a jury.

I was summoned once for county court.  Showed up in the morning and sat around for about 2 hours.  Then got called in for a jury selection, but they selected their jury before I got called into the box.  After that, it was late enough in the day they let me go home.

I've been a few time, usually when I get picked for a case I get excused before the trial starts. I did get on one civil trial which was exciting.
