As I was filling out a survey this morning (on another website), I came across a question about Health Problems.  There was a list to be checked off, and one of the conditions was "Irritable Male Syndrome."  I snickered and then decided to look it up.  Much to my surprise, I find there is such a condition.  And here I thought all men had that!!!  Now it's a syndrome?

Depending on who one talks to, I've either had that since I was 11 years old, (even though it generally applies to much older males), or the opinion stems from a female with 'inherent irritable syndrome'.

This actually popped out at me also and it was a tad bit laughable though I saw a youtube video posted about a man who took a special calming medicine to alleviate his frequent changes in mood which believe it or not affected his life pretty greatly considering the social situations that he had to control himself under.

But a recent study from the Government Accountability Office found that when it comes to understanding the nuts and bolts of the retirement plans they offer, the bosses are just as much in the dark as workers are.

That's alarming, particularly considering that the companies that sponsor plans have a duty to their workers to look after their interests.

The study referred to one employer that actually paid record-keeping fees that were 16 times greater than it believed it was paying, because it didn't understand its revenue-sharing arrangement with its services provider. As a matter of fact, at one company where I worked, even the Benefits Administrator did not understand them.

You know the show King of the Hill had an episode about this. Bobby wasn't doing well in P.E. and Hank took him to the doctor to "jump start" his puberty. Make him stronger, faster, etc...After the doctor saw how Hank acted he diagnosed him with irritable male syndrome, which set him off. The doctor wrote him a prescription for testosterone. Peggy started drugging him with it, and well...it didn't end well. Anyway, if it wasn't for that episode I never would've known it was a real thing.

Never heard of this one before.  It seems a bit crazy how eventually everything becomes some sort of symdrome.

Great post!  It's always interesting to learn something new.  I have heard of the last one, though, since I write poetry.  A poet friend told me that awhile back.  Maybe that will change - who says new words can't be created, right?!

I'm sure some professor only needed a $300,000 dollar a year grant for 5 years to conduct a study to figure out that people get irritated.
