Child hood fears outgrown

What fears did you have growing up that are no longer cause to be afraid of?  Mine was of a volcano exploding out of the desert sands of El Paso.

When I was growing up I was terrified of heights.  Not things like flying in an airplane or going up the elevator in a tall building, but heights where I could see the ground all too clearly.  Things like ladders, Ferris Wheels, etc. were enormously difficult for me.  I still don't like these things, but I can make myself do them if need be.  I have worked on the Ferris Wheel fear whenever I have a chance at local fairs, etc.  Still don't like getting on tall ladders, but can force myself to do it if it's really necessary.

hieghts and spiders I've gotten better with hieghts but not spiders still find the very creepy

When I was a kid, I was afraid of the dark. I would never go into any dark room by myself and I always slept with a lamp on.

mine was the dark i used to be terrified of the dark i always had to have lights on.
