Congratulations to your grandson.  Enlisting in the military is a great thing to do for those that have the ability and stamina.

Congratulation to your grandson.  I am sure he will have a great career in the military.  Three of my relatives served in the military and I am very proud of them.  Your family will do the same.  good luck.

I had and have the same feelings about my roomate from college.  He is in Afghanistan right now and I am as scared as I can be for him, but I am proud at the same time.

You should be proud. Enlisting in the military was one of the best things I ever did in life.

I know how you feel because my grandson enlisted in the army right out of high school.  After a tour in Iraq, he re-enlisted for another 6 years.  He barely missed deploying to Afghanistan last month due to some medication & he's really upset over that.  Grandma is NOT!

I think it is wonderful for our young men to enlist to help our country stay free.  Tell him we are all proud of him and wish him all the best!

Who do you 'think' protects the 'right' for you to be able to make such remarks?  A hypothetical supernatural entity or, the U.S. Armed Forces?
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Good luck to your grandson.  You must be very proud.!!  My son was in the USMC for 4 years,  and step-son is now in the AF.    It was stressful, nerve wracking, and the reason for a lot of sleepless nights....but I really enjoyed the time my son was in the Marines...I made a LOT of friends with family of other Marines, spent a lot of time and miles visiting the base when he was state side...and enjoyed putting together care packages when he was deployed...I miss those days, but don't miss the stress and worry.....Now we are in for round two with our step son who just graduated from BMT.

Say a big THANK YOU to your grandson for his service.  !!

Good luck to him and God bless your entire family.  I spent 27 years on active duty in the US Air Force and loved it.  I hope his experience turns out just as good.
