Falcon, You are the first to use SNAFU that I have ever seen or read or heard...most people have no clue what it means....but I grew up hearing my dad (USAF) saying "SNAFU" all the time....but wasn't until I was in my late teens that I learned what it actually stood for..LOL...and since my son joined USMC I hear PLENTY of 'em.
Sorry...way off topic, but when i read that i just had to comment.,  :)

That one was used quite a bit by my dad, (former Army-Air Force), and then later on, when I joined the U.S.A.F. and heard another variation of SNAFU in basic training.  There's an automated censor on FC, (because we have "younguns" here too), so let's see if it can be decrypted for those unfamiliar with the term ...

The 'P.C.' version is normally, "Situation Normal: All Fouled Up."  The original version of SNAFU doesn't use the word "fouled" but instead, is a common euphemism for 'messed-up'.  ;->
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.
