Hey all how was ur 3 day weekend wat did you guys do??

Saturday we did yard work. Sunday we barbecued. Monday night we called the fire department.

Not as it sounds though. It started storming with real heavy winds and the top of a tree in a swamp next to us fell and hit an electric line which started sparking and my son called the fire department. Before they got here it started to blaze and eventually downed the electric line to the street where it arced like crazy. Wasn't anything that could be done until the power company cut the electricity which was about 2 hours later. Well Thankfully there was very little damage and no casualties. Just a little more excitement than I bargained for and Im tired as toast today.

Went to Iowa, weather was beautiful and enjoyed visiting daughter and son-in-law and grandchildren.

Went to an amusement park, hiking, ran a marathon, went to the pool twice and bbq'd. Fun weekend!

Stayed home and out of traffic, we had a real nice dinner and relaxed.

It was pretty good, we all rested, mostly. My hubby barbequed, even though it was severely hot outside, but we ended up purchasing a water toy for my kid, so that kept us pretty cool! Went to visit the fam in San Antonio on Memorial day for a couple of hours-she had 4 little dogs in her house, it was like wild kingdom up in there!!!
