My Father's Day is gonna be a sad one. I lost my dad 8/2010 and he was my best friend.

I'll mail my dad Chewy Pralines, which was an original recipe that everybody, other than my hubby likes!

I plan on researching something that my teenagers can make for their Poppa.  Kind of kills two birds with one stone.  Poppa will get something unique that he can show off to all of the other old codgers and it will keep the kids occupied for a day or two which will keep them from going out and getting into trouble with their friends(and spending more money). The home made gift will be something that he can look at and think of his family which is about nine hundred miles away.  Poppa is at an age, as am I, where we no longer have a need for material things. My life is one hundred percent about providing for my family.

Do something with your Dad that he likes.  It doesn't always have to be expensive.  Spending Time with a parent is sometimes all they want.
