I took my father camping one year. He absolutely loved it. We never did that when I was younger so it was a great adventure.

We had the opposite situation occur when we were younger; went camping every summer from age 10 to 15.  We learned to fish, track, hunt, trap and general survival skills which have stayed with me through a lifetime.  It was fun too, not all work and no play; a good metaphor for life.

My Father passed away 24 years ago.  I miss him so much.  I dream of him alot and my Mother also.  When you lose you parents, you lose your best friends.  My Mothers has been gone 13 years this Aug.  It seems it was only yesterday.  Then I lost my brother 3 years after she passed away.  It was a hard time for me and my family..  Hope everyone has a nice day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

It's always so hard to find anything to buy for Father's day. Mother's day is always so much easier b/c everything is laid out for you. You can't get dad, a tie or perfume every year. Though, recently I found out my dad can growing things. In his retirement he started a garden & I get free tomatoes,potatoes,okra,.... I'm thinking of getting him the as seen on tv grow, veggies & strawberry kits!
