Does anyone think the dark knight will surpass the avengers?

Because I keep hearing this all the time. In my opinion it will not. If harry potter deathly hallows 2 surpassed the dark knight, then the sequel will not surpass the avengers. Let me know your opinions on this

I'm for the Dark Knight and my husband's for the Avengers.

The way it's looking, Avengers is going to end up doing crazy well.  I'm more looking forward to seeing Dark Knight, though.

I'm a huge comic movie buff, and being so, I know the new Batman movie will NOT surpass the Avengers movie, even with the recent Colorado shooting. Both are superb movies, but I just don't see it happening.

Dark Knight is the last movie in the franchise though, so it might have more fuel in it than expected. But I do not think it will surpass the Avengers, only because it wasn't released in 3D. I actually believe that it would have the potential to beat the Avengers if it was in 3D since it had years to build up a large and dedicated fanbase.
