Float Trip
« on: May 21, 2012, 08:52:22 pm »
Went on a float trip down the river yesterday. Two canoes, two boats, and a couple floaters. Sadly, we're apparently terribly terribly slow. What was supposed to be a two or three hour float took us around eight hours lol - didn't get to the end till 10:00 at night - couldn't see a darn thing at the end.
My brother is upset with himself, because it's the second float trip that has ended this way (although at least we reached our destination - the first time we stopped at a campsite and got a ride).
But hey, it's fun up to the point of the sun setting :P Still, I think next time I'll sneak a flashlight - just in case lol
Plus, this time, I didn't flip! Of course, most of the time I wasn't in a boat :P ::)

Just a bit sad we missed the eclipse, oh well.

Anyone else play on the river?

I try to avoid water since I can't swim!   Even when I go to the beach; I love the ocean front room, love the looks and sounds of the ocean, but, I never get wet!   ::)

  8) In my younger days, yes.  Went canoeing, floats, live in Central Florida so there are a lot of places to do this and also we used to go camping alot.  Used to go to a park where you could find lots of shark's teeth from a LONG time ago................... yep those were the good ol days lol............................ sounds like you guys had some fun anyway regardless of how long it took and that is what makes life good.

That actually sounds like a ton of fun, I would love to do something like that! Although being near the water, something on my bucket list is to own a boat. Man, that would be the life.
