My wallet has ordered me to stay away from the smart phones right now.  It's not just the price of the phone, but I don't want my monthly bill to go up.  Besides, I don't 'need' a smart phone.  If the day comes when I do need one because of a new job, then I will get one and they will most likely pay for it.

I have an Andriod phone and I wonder why I resisted for so long, it's a blast. I keep notes and schedule my calendar, check my email and search the web just about every day from my phone. Once I figured out how to ditch the monthly costs and turn it into an income, all my reasons for not having one melted away. Now I am looking forward to making enough to buy an upgraded phone with 4G and not need to pay out of my own pocket for it.

I don't have a smart phone...
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

I have the cheapest pay-as-you-go phone that the Dollar General carries. It doesn't even have a camera on it (which I dislike, because I'm ALWAYS taking pictures of my son!) I don't call people very often and hardly ever text. I like all the apps that smart phones have, but I just don't need all those extras. I like to keep it simple.

Just upgraded to an Samsung android. Nice to have all the extra features but seems like it will require charging more often. I resisted for a long time because the old PHONE worked just fine as a phone. I couldn't really see the extra cost for texting since I don't really see much advantage in that but now that I am getting more and of those I was going to get a texting plan anyway. Also was kind of tough to text back off the dialer pad.
I like that you can use it on WiFi and it beats toting the laptop. Was considering just getting a Nexus or one of the other android tablets instead. Still like the idea of a the larger more readable screen but I guess I can always add that later if necessary.

I don't have a smart phone yet, but I'm looking forward to getting one after seeing all the features on smart phones. I think I 'm the only one of my friends who doesn't  have one
