i have a smart phone. it's a Galaxy Nexus. it's not the newest phone but it's still quite fast and responsive. i'm very pleased with it. i used to have a dumb phone for basic calling and texting, but recently upgraded to my current smartphone for the speed and extra features. i love being able to play with my phone whenever i am bored at the doctor's office or whatever.

I dont have a smartphone..but my 'dumb' phone is a smart one.  It's receives and picks up calls when I want it to and sends and receives text messages. Also it can play music and has a camera.  All the basic features that I need  :)

I think a phone is only as smart as it's owner.  If you have a Smartphone but the owner is dumb, it's not much difference from having an older feature phone with a smart user....

Android Smartphone here, I used a dumb phone for the longest time, not because I hate technology or anything (I love technology btw), but because I felt I didn't really need it at that time, between all my gadgets, consoles and my desktop. And to be honest, I really didn't need it. After awhile I said to myself, what the heck, I should get one, did some research and got me the best phone I could get, with the best plan. I'm glad it all worked out for the best, I love my phone.

I just replaced my "dumb" phone with an iphone @ 2 months ago. At first I thought it very extravagance . It has come in very handy
and I don't regret the decision.

Phones are inanimate objects. They have no intelligence.

Nice to know there are other that call them dumb phones. I thought i would love a smart phone with all the features. Thinking it would make my life easier, so wrong. I mostly have to use my speaker phone because if o hold the phone to my ear it always hangs up, or does a three way call, or somethig that i have no clue about. It takes to long to upload things and surfing the net is such a slow process. LOL I should just go back to a regular camera flip phone and be done with it!

I guess I am old fashion!! Although it is hard to find any dumb phones anymore, I go with the dumb phones. I just want to be able to phone someone in case of emergency (broken down on the road, etc.). I don't text at all, I don't attempt to have internet access on my phone, that's what my computer is for!!The funny thing is I started in the Telecommunication Industry in 1971 when there were Teletypes/Telex machines and when the telecommunications business merged with Computers in the 80's/90's, I became an ITS. I guess it is because I started in the industry during conception that I don't believe you should be using a phone for everything, plus I've seen how additive it is, people walking down the street not paying attention to their surrondings. That's why they have given the Blackberry the nickname of Crackberry, and that is now outdated Technology.

I have a smart phone and I love.  I have the evo 4g from sprint.  It is pretty easy to use and has a big screen.  THe only thing I wish it had was more memory.

Mine is definitely a dumb phone, partially my fault. I didn't know what to look for when I got it and it's such a basic android phone that I can't have more than 1 app on it! I get a new one in December so I know what to look for now and what I want and like
