Do you dread the outdoors due to insects? I am swarmed everytime i step outside! predictions are for an insect filled summer given the warmth of the winter. i cant stand going outside and having to lather on Off or Repel and still haveing bugs all around me.

Nothing scares me besides Centipedes!!! They are disgusting and I scream like a little girl when I see one in my house. That reminds me-- the only thing worse than a centipede is a house centipede![/b

I am the bug killer in my family. Especially spiders.  :crybaby2:

oooo- I have a friend who is battling with Lyme's Disease now.
I find a dead roach or small lizard sometimes ....eeek.
I will not pick up a dead lizard to take him away.

I do not like them, but as long as I do not have mouse or snakes I could kill the rest with no qualm.  Mouse are awfull and snakes are just yuk.
My daughters hate all of the insects no matter what they are, but I agree with the winter being so warm we will have a very bad summer for insects aroung here, good think I do not open windows in my house due to all of us being allergic to pollen

plant a citronella plant in your yard, and if you have a large yard, plant 2 or 3.  also you can put up 1 or 2 bat boxes.  1 bat will eat 6000 mosquitos per night.  i put up 2 bat boxes last year and it helped a lot.

That is awful. Another one picking up this year is rocky mountain spotted fever!

Insects don't bother me except I can't stand cockroaches. We live in CA and we have moderate amounts of mosquitoes, gnats and flies that you can live with. We even have a beehive in our yard. Can't wait to collect the honey!

I do not know why, but I am like a drug to mosquitos. If there is 1 atround - it willfindme. The same goes for fleas.
My family says I must have 'sweet blood'.
But, I too am not lookingforward to this year's 'crop'. It is  going to be horrible

That is a very useful suggestion to reduce mosquito counts. Also much better than spraying yourself with some hazardous chemical.

I sometimes spray around outside with listermint and it seems to help also use adowney dryer sheet , letting it hang outside your clothing. Helps for a while. I can't use the sprays as it chokes me up.
