Semantics.  One has ashes and the other has a55es.  :o
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Some have both...

Sometimes they do indeed ... especially if some drink too much at the BBQ and play " ... and they all fell down ...", (into the pit).

Well sure but, I'd testify that they must have 'tripped', accidentally.  You know, for insurance purposes or something?

I have learned to use the ignore button from the tirades he lashed on me!. But it seems to me when you so many, many of your members complaining about the same thing you might want to take a real listen to it. Unless you are personal friends with falcon9? You may end-up losing alot of members over the actions of one member.  :bs:

I have learned to use the ignore button from the tirades he lashed on me!.

Conversely, I don't use the ignore button when multiple religious proselytizing tirades and empty claims are posted on a daily basis in order to reach the 30-post mark.  Responses opposing this may be called "tirades" by some religious adherents who, instead of choosing to have the courage of their religious convictions, instead choose a more sanctimonious martyred stance.

But it seems to me when you so many, many of your members complaining about the same thing you might want to take a real listen to it.

Such non-reasoning is faulty due to the fact that 99.9 % of the complaintants have been xtian religious adherents who'd prefer not to have their publically-posted beliefs/proselytizings challenged.  If such complaintants have the same general religious beliefs, it follows that they'd have the same general type of complaints about those beliefs being challenged.  It doesn't rationally follow that challengers to such religious 'herd-mentality' are to blame just for challenging it.  That would be like bank robbers complaining that police arrested them for interfering with their choice to rob banks.

Unless you are personal friends with falcon9? You may end-up losing alot of members over the actions of one member.  :bs:

That's a particular nasty and insidious 'threat' as it directly implies that unless Kohler complies with such 'religious demands', that "alot"[sic] of religious adherents would up and leave FC, (instead of continuing to use the FC-provided ignore function).  Kohler has already stated that we don't know each other personally, (and that's true, we don't - you'd think we'd be among the first to know if we did).  That's another insidious implication of yours.

The reason I bothered to reply to this post, (even though you've claimed to have my posts on 'ignore'), is that posting about what you're supposedly ignoring isn't "ignoring".  It's merely an attempt to continue your "tirade" while being unable to see the replies of the 'not-ignored'.  Others however, are not prevented from seeing both your insidious tirade nor, these replies to it.  Tough break there.

FC is fun and it really works so I choose to just ignore the unpleasant, negative people and focus on the fun posts.  You can always start your own topics, if you don't like everyone else's.  Maybe you'll start something good.  :dontknow:

I doubt there are "many, many members complaining".  I don't always agree with falcon9 but I still love him.  On a forum where many can't use proper grammar, can't spell, can't post topics in the right place and can't understand the meaning of "big words"...his intellect has brought some much needed "polish" to the FC forums.  If I had a website with a forum, I would consider it a honor to have someone like falcon9 posting to it.

falcon9 has had to endure more than one "calling out post" directed at him, as well as several posts that were blatantly rude.  The majority of people "attacking" him have themselves archived posts containing more insults launched at him than anything that could be perceived as an insult coming from him.   He has taken more b.s. from a select few on this site with ALOT more patience than myself.

Personally, if I was Admin., I would be telling people to "lay off harrassing him" or get off the site...so obviously  Admin is more tolerant than I am.

For the "religious" few that can't handle the "persecution", God loves you and wants you to be happy.  That's why He made you an  "ignore" button.

For the few others that can't get along with anybody, FC loves you and wants you to be happy.  That's why they made you an "ignore" button.
             For God's (and Admin's) sake---USE it!

(Note to Admin: Just my opinion---I would love to see falcon9 get a special "title" to his name, I think he deserves some special recognition for the efforts he has put into his many great posts!  I also think this thread should be "locked" as it is nothing more than ANOTHER "calling out" thread on him. ::) )

Well it's unfortunate that the original poster is bowing out.

On the other hand, this has been yet another entertaining thread all at the expense of Falcon lol Thanks for making me smile

Nah, "martyred exit speeches" have been seen before and will no doubt be seen again. There was even a variation of that posted today which included an 'insidious' implied threat by a xtian adherent to FC, (not 'threatening' me but, as an attempt to coerce FC!).

I doubt there are "many, many members complaining".

While Kohler didn't have an exact count, he did confirm the perception that that "falcon9" guy seems to have more complaints/reports to moderator than any other FC member in recent memory, (albeit such "complaints" were mainly of the "don't like him, ban him or make him sing in a church choir or something" nature, rather than in regards to content or non-existent TOS violations).

Sure, they say that now, then *pow*   :o

falcon9 has had to endure more than one "calling out post" directed at him, as well as several posts that were blatantly rude.  The majority of people "attacking" him have themselves archived posts containing more insults launched at him than anything that could be perceived as an insult coming from him.   He has taken more b.s. from a select few on this site with ALOT more patience than myself.

Well, if "patience" is a synonym for the logically-arrived at conclusion that others can post as they choose, (which includes me), then sure - I'm relatively patient, (or, have a "long-fuse" since impatience often leads to jumping to incorrect conclusions).

Personally, if I was Admin., I would be telling people to "lay off harrassing him" or get off the site...so obviously  Admin is more tolerant than I am.

I wouldn't recommend censoring anyone, even xtians, despite more than one attempt to get Admin/moderators to censor me, (in fact, I've often reiterated my stance against *bleeping* censorship in that regard).

For the "religious" few that can't handle the "persecution", God loves you and wants you to be happy.  That's why He made you an  "ignore" button.

Well, no; whoever programmed the "ignore button" feature gave them that, (unless this is a tacit claim that 'g-d' works for FC as a website Admin?).

For the few others that can't get along with anybody, FC loves you and wants you to be happy.  That's why they made you an "ignore" button.
             For ... Admin's) sake---USE it!

Good advise where appropriate; my "ignore list" currently happens to be empty, (and has been for months now; I'd placed a few who were significantly unfamilar with writing in English on it previously because their posts were torturous to decipher).

(Note to Admin: Just my opinion---I would love to see falcon9 get a special "title" to his name, I think he deserves some special recognition for the efforts he has put into his many great posts!  I also think this thread should be "locked" as it is nothing more than ANOTHER "calling out" thread on him. ::) )

Kohler hinted at a "nameplate", (icon?), but didn't specify what such a nameplate would read, (yes, I'm aware of the potential 'suggestions' from my anti-fan detractors and a few from those who have operational reasoning abilities).  Of course, I lobbied for a cash bonus instead.  This is a site that pays it's members after all.  It's doubtful that that'll come to pass, nor would the suggestion that the first member to reach Platinum level receive a bonus.  Bummer, huh?

Oh - my apologies. The name plate maker at work suddenly stopped working no matter how many times I kicked, punched, and spilled water on it. So here you go:
