If you loved the soap opera Dark shadows your in for a treat I just saw the new Tim Burton Flick Dark Shadows and although I found it a little dryer than the old soap I was still tickled to see Jhonny Depp as Barnabus Collins!!! No SPoilers here MUST SEE!!

I remember that soap opera and couldn't wait to get home from school to watch it. I think it is the only soap opera I ever liked. Can't wait to see the movie.

I remember walking v-e-r-y fast home from school to watch Dark Shadows. There was nothing else like it on TV at the time, and probably nothing like it since. Recently saw some clips from the old series, and it is so camp, with very low production values and some bad acting--but it was exciting at the time!

I remember watching this after school.  I am now in mid 50's so an old, old show.  Guess more than clothing styles come back around to be popular again.

I am 27, so it is a little different for me with all of these movies they are making that are remakes.  Just because I never even saw the original for this or a lot of the other remakes.  So it is just a new movie to me.  I haven't seen it yet, but I do plan to.  I want to see anything and everything that Johnny Depp does and I am sure I will like it.

This isn't a movie remake though it was an old black and white night time soap opera (with vampires and time travel YAY!).

I loved the TV show growing up - our neighbor's maid would make bat cookies and I we'd watch it and chomp away. I was so young I didn't notice the strings holding the bats until I was older, LOL  I have hated every Tim Burton movie (although I like Johnny Depp).  I think he should have just named the movie something else since it's so campy and not like the original show.  Although Johnny Depp is a handsome man, his Barnabas Collins looks like a cross between Michael Jackson and a drag queen (and I don't mean it meanly, just the first thing I thought when I saw the trailer).  Maybe when it is on demand I'll see it.

I don't remember much about the TV show in the 60's/70's except for how pretty Kate Jackson was and completely missed the 90's remake.  The trailers I've seen for the movie look cute so I may rent it when it comes out on DVD.
