This verse comes from the book of John and well I wanted to make this my first lesson because it has a good message and when you hear this verse I just want to think about what the message is

John 3:16 & 17 ~"For god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For god sent not his son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved

Well if you read matthew 27:31-56 it will tell you that Jesus Christ died on the cross not for him self but for us and in the verse that is written above where god says "THAT THE WORLD THROUGH HIM MIGHT BE SAVED"  and that is why Jesus Christ died on the cross to save our sins and that thru Jesus we can be forgiven

This is the first one my daughter was taught, followed by Ephesians 6:1 "Obey your parents in the Lord for that is right" and every time she is doing something she isn't supposed to be doing I say what does Eph. 6:1 say? Or if I ask her to do something and she doesn't want to I ask her the same thing...does the trick almost every time...
